It is inevitable – real estate will be bought and sold many times.
Why do real estate owners sell their properties?
- the return from the sale of the apartment will
enable them to purchase a more desirable property
- the return on the real estate investment is not as liquid as other types of investments in the marketplace – stock market, bond market
- the balloon payment on the mortgage is coming due; and the owner(s) do
not want to retain ownership
- the owner(s) or the next generation do not want to own and/or manage
the apartment property
